Wish we could stay in Long Beach longer!

We ain't talkin' no California here, but the one and only Long Beach, Washington. Soooo incredible and something so unique and nothing like anything I have ever experienced. This was my first time and Matt hadn't been there for several years. I had heard so many stories and a lot great things about this place so I was over the top excited about going. It was great weather, a lot of sunshine which was good because it was a little cold and windy at times. It was a good break from school and work. I was even able to cross a few things off on the bucket list. Wahoo! Pictures just don't do it justice but I tried to capture all I could. Thanks to Derek, M'kenzie, Teri and Dave for such a great trip!
The first few pictures are just so you can get a feel for the place, the picture above of the ship was our room, this is where we stayed during the trip. Fun to have slept in a real boat!
Clamming on the beach, it's not clam season so we didn't catch much. We did find a lot of sand dollars and crabs though. It was a lot of fun just walking on the beach and finding all kinds of treasures.
Before we left Matt told me all about the bears. I was sure I would see a bear. Matt hasn't ever been and not seen a bear. I was really concerned about it for the first little while. Day 1 went by and no bear, day 2 went on and no bear. I then started to doubt we would see a bear. Then we found some tracks, we also found a lot of bear poop. I took pictures just in case I didn't see a bear. Sure enough, no bear in all 6 days. It was a bittersweet. Instead I saw a dead sea lion, he was pretty cool.
We took the boat out to the island. It was also an adventure.
This is us at the top of the tree house. One night late we sat on the bridge and tried to spot some animals. All we heard was a dying goose. But it was still really fun, and I felt so darn adventurous.

This is my man on a very studly horse (Buck), very fun riding the horses on the beach.
